What you see from where you stand is something no one else can give. It is not a rougher version of some truer account. Temperature is real, though the word appears nowhere in the description of molecules. Baseball is real, though it is nowhere in the standard model.
And the vocabulary is never handed to you from outside. Which way to tell it is finally yours to choose.
The universe is made of stories, not atoms.
That is why this library can belong to everyone. Not as a courtesy — because every person carries a telling that is true and that no one else has.
