Circle instead of approach. Closeness has more than one shape, and one of them is patience.
Two fields overlap. Where the waves cross, a pattern neither one is making alone.
This is an artwork, not an instrument. It measures nothing about you, and nothing about anyone you know. The forces here are invented; only their premise is borrowed.
That premise: people hold a preferred amount of air between themselves and a stranger, an acquaintance, someone close — and that amount shifts from place to place, and with warmth, age, and who is doing the approaching.
A relation can become a field.
